Email kali@ciesemier.com for details! ABOUT: Kathryn Alison (Kali) Ciesemier grew up in the fertile midwestern fields surrounding Chicago, Illinois. Daring to brave the eastern seaboard, she graduated summa cum laude with a BFA in Illustration from MICA, the Maryland Institute College of Art. After an interlude working as a videogame concept artist for Big Huge Games, she is now a full-time freelance illustrator and adjunct faculty in the MICA Illustration department. Her work has been featured in a national Roller Derby gallery show at Rogue Buddha Gallery in MN (as well as designing a poster for the North Star Roller Girls), the book "Paper Kingdom", the "Versus!" gallery show at The Windup Space, the "Baltimonster" gallery show at the Echo, as well as in various public transit vehicles as a juried winner of the MTA's "Words on Wheels" competition. Additionally, she has designed and illustrated the set pieces for "Puss in Boots", a play by Roger Brunyate (Chair of Opera at Peabody Conservatory). |
